Quality Assurance & Accreditation Unit

Quality Assurance & Accreditation Unit

Every entity acknowledges and understands the importance of providing customers and stakeholders a consistent service to which they are entitled to. Consequently the Agriculture and Rural Payments Agency set up the Quality Control Unit.

The main objective of this unit is to ameliorate the service provided as well as to ensure timely and correct payments to beneficiaries. This is achieved by:
  • Ensuring that procedures adopted by units within the Agency are in line with regulations, guidelines and Manuals of Procedure
  • Highlighting anomalies after carrying out checks and list the actions to be taken by the respective unit/s
  • Monitor the service provided by the ARPA and ensuring that it is in line with the Quality Award standards

As from Financial Year 2021 the Accreditation and Risk Management Unit was incorporated within the remit of Unit D2. As a result, the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit (Unit D2) is further divided into two Units. Unit D2.1 is the Accreditation and Risk Management Unit. On the other hand, Unit D2.2 is the Monitoring and Quality Assurance Unit.
In this regard the Quality Control Unit adopts a holistic approach when carrying out its checks by analysing and following through all processes implemented within the ARPA. This initiates at the Front Office, being the application/payment claim stage and ending until the authorisation and payment stages.
